Late Late Late

Glad to be back on blogging after a layoff of such a long time. Beginning to accustomed myself with my sales job. Apart from travelling in my car everyday, I will need to report myself to office by 8.30 am in the morning. Well by the way, no one in my office adheres to it except ocassionally my manager will show up-maybe let us say 845am??

I have been adhering to it for the past 1 year(this is how long I have been working with my current company) and no, no one notices I am early everyday. Nobody says "thank you" or whatsoever encouraging words to spur me on. So why do I continue everyday being early despite them being late??

What I want to instil in myself is timeliness in my life. Failing to be punctual at all times marks the fall of that person. The first impression is always important and if you can't even adhere to the appointed time, I will be left wondering what the other person thinks of you.

Thus, self-discipline is a very strong and important word. Apart from the fact that we are living in Malaysia, constant road congestion is one of the main reason why we, Malaysians are unable to keep our promises. Excuses after excuses such as :

1. Sorry lah, very jam lah just now.

2. Just now got massive accident la of Fed Highway, thats why jam.(oh by the way the jam is caused by curious onlookers-(kaypoh people)

3. My friend/mum/dad/sister/brother/grandmother/grandfather asked me to help them with some chores lah. That is why I am late.

4. My car no petrol. Went and pump mah. That is why I am late.

5. Sorry ah, no car park. So I late lor.

Don't you all realise that because you are late you caused another person to waste his time waiting for you to come? This the main problem we the youngsters, face nowadays. Older generation always says "Nowadays ah, youngsters(refering to you and I) always late, cannot be relied on, no discipline, no iniative, no creativity and no-the list will go on."

Actually where did we learn to be late? From our PARENTS what!!

I remember myself telling my dad, "DAD I am late for school already"
He just answered nonchantly, "Late abit won't die wan lar!!"

So, what is the verdict? You decide!

Signing off'
Teng
